About This Course

This session introduces PreK-2nd grade, open-sourced Start with the Heart curriculum, which invites learners to examine what they need to support their own well-being with a playful approach. Topics include exploring the body’s stress response, understanding the role of the brain and the nervous system and reflecting on simple habits. The curriculum, is designed with ease of delivery as a top priority, offers simple, exercises that build the learner's ability to unknowingly regulate. This session will model how each lesson can be delivered in 10-20 minutes, weaved into the course of a school day for in-class or virtual instruction.
